Linville Caverns
Linville Caverns opened to the public in 1937. Many upgrades have been made to the pathways and they have enhanced the lighting to make your journey safe and enjoyable. When you enter the caverns, you will be lead by friendly guides that will take you into the subterranean world. Each guide is filled will giving you the history of the caverns in a unique and interesting way. This is a great attraction for days the weather is not perfect outside.
Asheville Emporium
At the Asheville Emporium they celebrate creativity. Enjoy a shopping experience like nowhere else. In the emporium you will find a unique collection of hand crafted creations by local artist, products from throughout the world, Asheville t-shirts and plenty of kids stuff. most of their products are offered to you at very affordable prices. This is the perfect place for you to shop for Asheville souvenirs.
The North Carolina Arboretum
Located in the southwest side of Asheville, only 3 miles away from Asheville Cottages. The Arboretum has many acres of trails and gardens with some of the most beautiful, diverse plants in the area. They recently opened their newest exhibit called Earth Skin on display in the education building. The best time to visit is in the cool mornings or evenings.
Asheville Pinball Museum
The Asheville Pinball Museum is located at 1 Battle Square, below the old Battery Park hotel. Once you pay admission, you are free to play almost 100 pinball and video games without any quarters.
Grandfather Mountain
The thing we like about Grandfather Mountain is that around every turn, there is always so much more to see. They have a huge network of trails that take you on hikes through terrain as gentle as a meadows, to rugged mountains where you need the assistance of cables and ladders. No matter what trail you choose, you will be viewing amazing wildlife and breathtaking views. Grandfather Mountain is open 363 days a year, depending on the weather. They are closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas.
French Broad Adventures
French Broad Adventures combines great whitewater rafting, with awesome ziplining tours. They also provide calm water float trips for those who want to take it easy and enjoy the beauty of the river. If you whitewater raft as well as zipline with French Broad Adventures, you can experience two of Asheville’s natural wonders; the French Broad River and the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains

This is the perfect place for a fun night out. At Painting with a Twist you can get in touch with the inner artist you may never knew existed. They are a BYOB art studio that allows you to bring your own food and drink. They have skilled artists that will guide you through every step of the process that will allow you to end up with a beautiful masterpiece that you alone created where you bring your favorite beverage, your favorite food & your favorite people and we'll take care of the rest. Most painting times are in the evenings from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm.
